Creative Floral
Arrangements – A Nice Addition Anywhere
Floral arrangements
are a nice addition anywhere they are placed. They are easy to create and make a huge
difference in the areas where they add a new fresh appearance. Since they are so easy to create, many people
have taken up making them instead of wasting money to buy them in the stores.
With ways to make the
floral arrangement last longer include spraying the arrangement with a sealant such as a spray on varnish or
preservative. This extends the life of the arrangement and helps to prevent the pieces of the arrangement from
falling off.

Listed below are two
different types of arrangements.. Ideas and materials are listed in the information for easier methods of
creating a floral arrangement.
Roses and greenery
sometimes looks out of place in a large vase. The roses and greenery from the back yard can help make the
different arrangements right at home in any room. Use the asparagus fern and ivy from the yard the fern as
filler to the arrangement. Use flowers from the yard in addition to the fern and
ivy.
Use a stiff item to help
hold up any long stemmed item. Secure the arrangement to the stiff item with floral wire. If using a flower with
leaves, remove any access leaves from the bottom areas of the flower.
Stick the arrangement in
water since they are living plants and will require water to survive. The help with possible bacteria on the
plants add a few drops of bleach to the water. The bleach water will not kill the arrangement only the
bacteria.
Begin placing the flowers
in the grid created by the ferns and vines. Place the flowers strategically throughout the grid so they create a
nicer appearance.
On the ferns, strip off the
lower parts like you did with the flowers and the lower leaves. Continue to fill in the grid with the fern and
vines.
This is one design that
will go in any area of the home.
Another arrangement is the
mixed flower arrangement. This one is using a floral department arrangement but adds items found in the back
yard to enhance the purchased arrangement.

Start with a block of
floral foam as the base of the arrangement. Flood the foam block with water and the floral preservative that
came with the arrangement. If there was not any preservative with the arrangement, add a few drops of bleach to
the water. This combination will help preserve the arrangement longer.
Cut the floral block to fit
the container used for the arrangement.
Take the purchased floral
arrangement apart and stick the items gently into the foam block. Add ferns and other greenery to enhance the
arrangement.
Continue adding the
greenery as each part of the original arrangement is added. Space out the purchased arrangement alternating the
greenery. Add the entire purchases arrangement and greenery until you have obtained the desired
appearance.
